If you have been anywhere near any Trek sites you have probaly had ads for the Star Trek Starships Collection come up. Well 5 bucks for a die cast model of the Enterprise D and a magazine to go with it,I figured why not. After 2 weeks she came in and the package was a good size one. The magazine has info on the Galaxy class itself not just the D. It looks nice and looks really sharp. Definitely worth a read or two. As for the ship itself....it is a good size bigger than expected. It comes in a nice display box if you don't want to open it(but seriously who wants to do that?!) It is really made of metal and I am fairly sure if thrown someone is gonna have a hurting when it connects! It comes with a small display stant that quite frankly was a bit problematic but does work. For size comparison if you have the old Action Fleet Enterprise D it is comparable in size to it. Sadly I do not believe that this one you can separate the saucer from the stardrive section. The paint job is very well done, the details are excellent and it is enough to get me to consider ordering the next one, the 1701 Refit.
Oh the first issue is 4.95 the next issue is full price at almost 23 bucks. Still these are some nice looking ships! startrekonline.eaglemoss.com/default.aspx
